Who I Am

2010 was an amazing year for my me!  I finally decided to start pursuing my dreams and amazing things happened.  First I took the chance and did what I’ve wanted to do for most of my life.  I wrote and submitted a story and sold it in five days.  Since then, I’ve sold nine stories!

Then an opportunity came up at the sweat shop where I work that allowed me to use my art.  I hadn’t done anything with it in years.  I have had a huge success and my work is featured in posters, meetings, classes and more in all three national locations.

I just can't believe it. I think 2011 will be a good year as well.

Next I want to explore and learn more about photography, especially male photography.

The first photographer who GRABBED me was Charles R Collum and his books “Dallas Nude” and “New York Nude.”  The blew me away!  I couldn’t believe how these books effected me.

Then it was photographers like Victor Skrebneski, Herb Ritts, David Morgan and Tom Bianchi.  I just dream of doing something like what they’ve done.

I loved reading stories, but it wasn’t enough. I wanted to be a writer and now I am one!

I loved art, but it wasn’t enough.  I wanted to be an artist and I am one!

I loved photography, but looking at other people’s pictures wasn’t enough.  I wanted to take pictures!  I wanted to be a photographer and I am going to be one.

Yes, this would certainly include nudity, but I am not interested in being a pornographer.  I want to produce classy and classic nudes, like the photographers that have so influenced me.  I’ve wanted this for thirty years and I am going for it.

In this blog you will find all kinds of photography, and not just nudes.  Let me know what you think and any hints and advise on how I can do better.  I want to learn.

I might even be able to use some of the pictures for covers for my books. I will figure out how to do a show at some time in the future.
